  • What if this happened in another city or county? Can I file a report using this on-line reporting system? No. If a crime took place outside the area of jurisdictions of the Volusia County Sheriff's Office please call the law enforcement agency for that area.
  • What areas are considered the jurisdiction fo the Volusia County Sheriff's Office?
    • All Unincorporated county areas.

  • The Volusia County Sheriff's Office dispatches for several agencies - why can't I use this on-line reporting system? While the Volusia County Sheriff's Office does contract with outside agencies for dispatch those contracts do not include record keeping. Each agency is responsible for their own record keeping.
  • What is a known suspect? A known suspect is when you know or someone else knows:
    • The person who committed the crime.
    • Where to find the person who committed the crime.
    • The license plate number of the vehicle the suspect(s) were in.
