Reporting Process
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office On-Line Reporting process is as follows:
- On the next page you will be able to choose from one of the report types available.
- After choosing your report type, a window will open with on-screen instructions on how to file your report.
- After completing your report you will be given the opportunity to review what you've entered.
- After the reviewing process you will then be prompted to submit your report.
- After you submit a report, a temporary report and case number will be emailed to you so long as you:
- Provided a valid e-mail address.
- Have added 'EReporting@vcso.us' to your contact list so that future correspondence doesn't get marked as junk mail or spam.
- A Volusia County Sheriff's Deputy will then review your case. Please note that during the review process the Deputy may contact you for further information.
- You will receive another e-mail after the Deputy finishes reviewing the report. This e-mail will contain a final copy of the report for your records with the official report number.
Note: While a Deputy will be reviewing your report, they will not be immediately dispatched to your location. If you would like a Deputy to respond to your location then use either the non-emergency or emeregency (911) telephone number depending on your circumstances.
